Registering

1. Near the top of the forums webpage, click on   Register

2. You will be asked to agree to the Registration Agreement Terms.

3. Create a username and a password.

4. Enter your e-mail address and select your language and timezone.

5. Click "Submit."

6. You will see a message saying that the administrator will need to activate your account. You will receive an e-mail when that is done and then you will be able to log in.

Logging In

1. Once you have registered, and your account is activated, you are ready to log in.

2. Near the top of the forums webpage, click on  Login

3. Enter your username and password. If you ever forget your password, there is a link there to help you with that.

4. You are now logged in.

Posting a New Topic to a Forum

1. You must be logged in to post.

2. Choose the forum you wish to post to by clicking on the forum link on the left hand side of your screen.

3. Click on    

4. Type in the Subject.

5. Type in the Message. If you are familiar with and would like to use formatting, feel free. Otherwise, just enter the message in plain text.

6. Click "Preview" if you wish to see how the post will look.

7. Otherwise, click "Submit."

Replying to a Post

1. You must be logged in to post.

2. Choose the forum where the topic you want to reply is located by clicking on the forum link.

3. Click on the topic you wish to reply to.

4. Click on   

5. Type in the Message. If you are familiar with and would like to use formatting, feel free. Otherwise, just enter the message in plain text.

6. Click "Preview" if you wish to see how the post will look.

7. Otherwise, click "Submit."

Getting E-mail Notifications on a Topic or a Forum

1. You can get an e-mail notification if someone posts a reply to a topic that you created or replied to. You subscribe to this topic by making sure "Notify me when a reply is posted" is checked when you compose your post.

2. You can also start watching a topic even if you don't post in it. You can do so by clicking on
   Subscribe topic   located at the bottom of the topic page.
   You can stop receiving notifications on a topic at any time, by clicking on Unsubscribe topic   at the bottom of the topic page.

3. You can also watch an entire forum. You can do so by clicking on Subscribe forum   located at the bottom of the forum page.
   You can stop receiving notifications for a forum at any time, by clicking on Unsubscribe forum   at the bottom of the forum page.

Changing Your E-Mail Address (and other personal preferences)

1. You can change your e-mail address and other personal preferences at any time.

2. Log in.

3. Near the top of the forums webpage, click on   User Control Panel

4. Click on the "Profile" tab.

5. Click on "Edit Account Settings."

6. Make the appropriate changes, then click "Submit."
