Apparel Resources
Fashion technology company, Tukatech announced the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Innovation Center strategically situated in the heart of the Los Angeles Fashion District. This advanced facility is crafted to serve fashion brands eager to reestablish their product development within the United States through reshoring and nearshoring initiatives.
Tukatech’s Innovation Center emerges as a valuable resource for brands and manufacturers aiming to reintegrate in-house development capabilities. Offering an extensive array of fashion technology, the center supports every facet of the apparel product development cycle, encompassing 2D patterns, 3D samples, and digital fabric printing, cutting, sewing, and finishing for a diverse range of products.
Founder and CEO Ram Sareen highlights that the initial outsourcing trend was primarily driven by the pursuit of cost reduction in development. However, Sareen contends that the anticipated cost savings did not materialise for most fashion companies.
While some brands initiate their reshoring and nearshoring endeavours, the challenges lie in navigating the complex landscape with diminished talent and services that were prevalent before outsourcing. Tukatech’s Innovation Center is positioned to assist these brands and manufacturers in transitioning to nearshoring or reshoring without the burdens of personnel hiring, equipment investment, or facility rental.
The Innovation Center by Tukatech marks a pivotal stride in reimagining the fashion manufacturing landscape. Through world-class facilities and cutting-edge technology, it endeavors to empower brands and manufacturers to reclaim control over their product development processes, facilitating a seamless transition to in-house operations.
