Thank you to everyone who attended the 2026 Alphabet Soup Collective Shindig in Raleigh!
The Alphabet Soup Collective Shindig is a joint networking event designed to provide the larger textile, apparel, and sewn product communities with an opportunity to spend time with familiar faces and make new connections while celebrating the collaborative spirit that drives our industries forward.
The next Shindig will likely be in Atlanta at the next joint Texprocess Americas/Techtextil North America shows in May 2027. However, Shindigs are hosted and organized by various collective members, so there may be another one before then. Stay tuned!
2026 Shindig
The most recent Alphabet Soup Shindig took place August 4th, 2026, at Whiskey Kitchen in Raleigh, NC. It served as the main kick-off networking event for the 2026 edition of Techtextil North America.
The 2026 Shindig was once again a SOLD OUT affair that brought together 300+ individuals from across the textile and sewn product industries.
What made 2026 special? The 2026 event included a first-of-its-kind VIP hour, hosted and sponsored by the North Carolina Textile Foundation.
The 2026 Shindig was organized by SPESA in partnership with Messe Frankfurt North America. The event was also generously supported by Danbartex LLC and MEZGER, INC.

About The Alphabet Soup Collective
SPESA is a founding member of the Alphabet Soup Collective — a collaboration of associations representing the global sewn products, textile, apparel, and nonwovens industries. The collective was launched in 2024 as a means to enhance collaboration and bridge gaps across the supply chain.
The collective held its first meeting during the 2024 edition of Techtextil North America in Raleigh. That meeting was followed by the Inaugural Alphabet Soup Collective Shindig, an over-the-top networking reception which many have claimed to be the “best industry event they’ve ever attended.” Though, to be fair, there was a good amount of whiskey involved.
Since then, the collective has hosted a few more shindigs, including at Texprocess Americas 2025 in Atlanta.
Shindigs are hosted and organized by various collective members.
