Zünd’s latest robotics configuration for its cutting systems, showcased in Barcelona, has drawn crowds to the company’s Fespa booth.

In partnership with Robotfactory, the Swiss cutting technology manufacturer has used its stand (3-A129) to display a digital cutting and robotics configuration to present automation in a different way, more as a ‘helping hand’ than in full-time continual operation.

Lars Bendixen, branch office manager at Zünd said: “We believe there is a need in the market for automation without having something that people expect to run 24/7.”

The response so far had been “very good”, he added.

“Robotics always attracts people but I think also the concept of this not being a totally caged in machine, it is still accessible and easy to reach in to see what’s happening.
