About

Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing was created in January 2017 through Carnegie Mellon University winning the bid to create a robotics-focused Manufacturing USA Institute and now operates as a separate non-profit. We exist to strengthen U.S. manufacturing through innovations in advanced manufacturing technology, particularly robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), and prepare the workforce to work alongside these technologies. We foster collaboration between those who can create & maintain robotics in manufacturing with those who can utilize these solutions for maximum economic impact. Working across industry, government, and academia, we leverage a robust consortium to fulfill our vision and mission.

Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing provides funding in the robotics industry and connections between member organizations.
