What Will You Learn in Atlanta?

By SPESA

Did you know that the upcoming Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America shows will offer 40+ FREE educational sessions on the show floors?

Take a look at some of what you can expect to see in Atlanta!

TECH TALKS

Led by industry creatives Xochil Herrera Scheer and Shoshana Burgett, and located right smack in the center of both shows, the Tech Talks will feature a lineup of complimentary presentations, demonstrations, and discussions covering topics such as robotics for the sewn products industry; on-demand furniture manufacturing and workflow; using LED for digital drawdowns; engaging workforce with technology; technical design; sustainability, and more!

In the latest issue of Behind the Seams, Xochil shares insights into the Tech Talks series as well as why Texprocess Americas has become her favorite trade show to attend. Read more.

TRAINING TAKES TIME

For the first time, the 2023 shows will feature a unique show floor training program for sewn products equipment. Brought to life by SPESA members Merrow Sewing Machine Company and the Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center (ISAIC), the training will demonstrate valuable sewing machine repair and maintenance tailored for mechanics, operators, and facility managers, including gasket changing and carrier adjustment. In addition to hands-on demonstrations, the training will utilize augmented reality tools to illustrate how these training methods can be expanded and used effectively across the Western Hemisphere. This training, valued at $1,800 regularly, will be available FREE for show attendees.

The latest issue of Behind the Seams includes an FAQ memo to help interested show attendees learn more about the training. Read more.

Training Takes Time will take place within the Career and Training Center on the show floor alongside additional resources provided by the Textile Technology Center at Gaston College.
